Special Needs
Farming World has won many awards for its provision of amenities for those with special needs, such as the sensory garden, hands-on sessions, a trailer adapted for wheelchairs and guides practiced in signing. The new play equipment is built to accommodate handicapped children as well as able bodied.

- Disabled Toilets - Including a large "changing table" for special needs adults.
- Disabled car parking spaces (Located to the right of the main entrance).
- Tarmac paths around the entire animal area.
- Rooms/marquees have ramps/wheelchair access.
- Tractor/Trailer rides which can accommodate two wheelchairs.
- Play equipment designed for those with special needs includes a wheelchair swing, a harness swing, a rumble bridge and a multi-ability rocker.
- Free wheelchair loan.
- Guided tours with "feely sessions" for group visits.
- One guide is qualified in ASL sign langauge.
- Sensory garden with smelly plants such as curry, lavender, mint, sage. Feely rockery and large angelica. Hear the sounds of the waterfalls, fish splashing and wind chimes. See the colourful roses, gold fish, golden hop, hidden animals and insects. There is a quiz with sweet lolly as prize.
- We do allow guide dogs only.

Pigs cannot sweat - They love to wallow in the mud to keep cool, and use the mud as sun-tan lotion to stop getting sunburnt
Pigs have an excellent sense of smell, they can sniff out truffles as much as 30cm underground
